Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
My name is Joseph Ellis, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. I am heartbroken to share that my father, Theodore Ellis, has passed away. He was a loving father, a devoted friend, and a pillar of strength in our family and community. As I navigate the overwhelming grief of his loss, I am also faced with the reality of covering the expenses to give him the respectful and dignified farewell he deserves.
My father was a humble and hardworking man who did everything he could to provide for our family. However, the costs associated with his burial are beyond what I can manage alone. After assessing all expenses, I am seeking to raise $4,500 to cover the basic costs for his funeral and burial.
Breakdown of Expenses:
Funeral Home Services: $1,500
This includes the preparation of my father for his final rest, viewing, and service arrangements.
Casket and Burial Plot: $1,800
A simple yet respectful casket and a burial plot to lay him to rest in peace.
Transportation: $500
The cost of transporting my father from the hospital to the funeral home and then to the burial site.
Miscellaneous Costs: $700
This covers additional expenses such as flowers, a modest memorial, and permits for burial.
