Early Monday morning, October 29, 2018 at 6:58 am, God sent his angel to Duke Hospital Medical Center to stand beside Theodore Draughn, and gently called him home.

He was the son of the late Willie and Thelma Draughn of Newport News, Virginia. Also predeceased in death by his three brothers and four sisters, Willie Draughn Jr., Thurman Draughn, Russell Draughn, Aubrey Draughn, Magaline Draughn, Mary Draughn, and Queen Draughn.

At an early age, he had a love for music and his guitar were he joined a local band in the community of Newport News, Virginia. He received his high school diploma at Carver High School, in Newport News, Virginia. Then later became a faithful hard-working man at EPA in Durham, North Carolina were he retired in 2015.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Patsy Joint-Draughn on April 11, 2008 in Durham, NC.

Confined at home for some time, he bore his illness with patience and perseverance. He was a lovable person, always willing to help anyone and did not mind helping others.

He leaves his to cherish his memory, two sons, Theodore Jr., and Rodney Draughn, one daughter, Kendra Draughn, one step-son, Cedric Joint, and two step-daughters, Yalonda Joint and Maronda Joint. With a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
