Background
Theodore was born with a genetic condition called trisomy 13. It has long been considered “incompatible with life”, and parents are discouraged from continuing their pregnancy or pursuing interventions after birth when given this diagnosis. But this is all based on outdated statistics and information. Our goal is to use Teddy’s life to help spread awareness about how babies with trisomy 13 are *compatible with life*, and worth fighting for. I have been preparing to start a foundation to spread awareness and support to parents who receive this heartbreaking diagnosis, and would be honored to know that Teddy’s life and his story will help more precious babies and families in the future.
