Theodore's obituary
Ted was born on July 15th, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA to Alfred and Alice (Howell) Brogan. He started his restaurant career at the age of 16 years old and accrued 50 years of corporate experience in the restaurant industry, working at places such as Carl’s Jr., La Salsa, Wingstop, and Jack in the Box. He was regarded as a true professional restaurateur, training and mentoring hundreds of colleagues. On June 19, 2001 he married Elena V. Brogan. Together they had a beautiful blended family of Eric Brogan, Erin Brogan and Nikita Tsvetkov.
Ted had a passion for traveling. With his wife and on various work projects, Ted was able to visit many cities and countries, to explore and learn from their culture. Ted’s love of travel influenced his favorite hobby, which was building model airplanes. He had hundreds of models and he would spend hours crafting every detail of each one. He was also an avid music, movie and cat lover, with an amazing collection of vinyl, film and cute kitties. He was known for his caring heart, his infectious laugh, and his kind and generous spirit.
Ted was preceded in death by his father Alfred, and his mother, Alice. He is survived by his wife Elena, his three children, Eric, Erin, and Nikita, his brother Barry, and his two granddaughters, Rose Marie and Zelda Alice.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at South Coast Botanic Gardens (26300 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274) at 10 o’clock a.m. Donations can be made in honor of Ted Brogan, to The Cat Cove, www.thecatcove.com.
