Theo's obituary

It is with mixed feelings that we share the news of Theo’s passing. Though the death of a loved one is never easy, the reality is that we lost our mom to Alzheimer’s disease six years ago. The next time Theo opens her eyes she will awaken to a restored body and mind in a healed world with no Alzheimer’s, no illness, no suffering, no grief, no death. She will be reunited with the precious friends and family that were so beloved by her on this Earth.

Theo loved her family, traveling, spending time with her life-long friends, parties, dancing, and football. A graduate of the University of Washington, she was a passionate Husky football fan and season ticket holder for over 60 years. Following graduation from college she worked as a stewardess for United Airlines until she married in 1958 and was forced to resign, as stewardesses were not allowed to be married in those days. For fourteen years she was a dedicated and accomplished homemaker. In 1972 she began working part-time for a periodontist in health-sciences at the UW where she continued to work for 25 years.

Theo is survived by her daughter Kathy (Mike) Stephenson, son Steven (Julie) Heinz, granddaughter Katie (Eric) Stephenson, granddaughter Lindsey (Keith) Rusk, great-granddaughter, Kaylee; and cousin Margaret.

We invite you to enjoy the photos and reflect on the life of this adored daughter, caring sister, devoted cousin, cherished friend, beloved mother, and proud grandmother.
