Thelma's obituary

Ms. Thelma Williams was born to Juanita and Aaron Credle Sr. on January 12, 1934 in Swan

Quarter, North Carolina. On March 3rd,2023 Thelma transitioned from her earthly purpose and

became an angel for her Heavenly Father.

Ms. Thelma Williams also known as “Grammy” and “Nana” was a resident of West Haven,

Connecticut for over 50 years. She was the heart and soul of her family. As a natural caretaker

she worked in nursing profession for over 30 years. She brought so much strength, passion, joy,

laughter and love while creating a space of safety and security for her family and strangers

alike. As the family is so saddened by her loss, they are indeed uplifted by her memory and her

spirit.

Ms. Williams is survived by her, ex-husband Richard Williams, daughter Ms. Betty Skeeter, son

in-law Ray Skeeter, her four grandchildren Renee Skeeter and spouse Elvis Day, Andre Skeeter,

Diantha Skeeter, and Candi Skeeter. Her great grandchildren, Lamar Skeeter and spouse Melissa

Skeeter, Mason Day and spouse Cathy Day, Aiden Day & Liam Leveille. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her brother Arnell Credle of North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her Mother Juanita Credle, Father Aaron Credle Sr. Sisters, Helen

Gilbert her husband James of NC, Margie Credle and brothers Joe Credle and Ernest Credle.

Ms. Williams had a huge calling on her life, which she lived with grace, love, perseverance,

strength and most importantly her faith in God.

To honor our beloved Grammy’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on Saturday,

March 11, 2023, at Morton’s Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. in Bridgeport, CT. We invite anyone

who knew our beautiful Angel to attend and celebrate her wonderful life.
