Thelma's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Thelma Hill, a kind-hearted, empathetic, and soft-spoken soul who left us on March 16, 2026. Thelma was born on Dec 11, 1923, and in 2023, she proudly became the first centenarian in her family, a testament to her belief in taking care of the body.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Theresa Hill. Now that Thelma has her wings, and she joins her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Johnson, her brothers Kermit, Samuel, Houston, Hinton, and Lawrence Johnson, and her sisters Dorothy and Elizabeth Johnson, and Ruth Jeanette King.
Thelma’s life was defined by her kindness; Her sweet disposition made her a joy to be around and her soft-spoken wisdom offered guidance to many. Her legacy will remain a beacon of light and love in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. She often shared the simplest yet profound lessons, such as "Take care of your body; be kind to one another".
Her daughter, Theresa, fondly remembers Thelma as her best friend and is consoled in knowing she now has her as a Heavenly Angel. Thelma’s life will be celebrated at 3 PM on April 6, 2026, at Forest Lawn. Her life was a testament to the beauty of kindness and compassion, and she will be deeply missed, but her teachings and love will continue to inspire those who knew her.
