Thelma and Fe's obituary
Thelma Alas Rodica and Fe Alas Rodica, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away on March 20th, 2023. Thelma and Fe were loving sisters, aunts, cousins, and daughters to their family. They join our Heavenly Father, their beloved parents, Lily Alas Rodica and Dr. Aurelio Rodica, their beloved brother, Telesforo Rodica, and beloved nephew, Carlos Telesforo Panadero, in heaven. Thelma was 75 years old and Fe was 69 years old at the time of their passing.
Thelma and Fe Rodica were born in Balayan, Batanga, a province in the Philippines. They migrated to the United States in the early 1970s with their parents to start a new chapter in their family. Before moving to the US, Thelma earned her bachelor’s degree in the Philippines. She was a registered medical technician for many years at St. Alexis Medical Center. Thelma was very loyal to her family and always worked hard. Fe spent many years working as on office assistant with her brother, Telesforo, and eventually became the primary caregiver to her sister, Thelma.
Thelma and Fe are survived by their nieces (Patricia Rodica, Annaliza Izydorczyk, Liana Rodica), grandnieces (Lauren Izydorczyk and Melody Jones), grandnephews (Don Carlos Panadero and Austin Izydorczyk, as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Both Thelma and Fe will be greatly missed by their friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday, April 24, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Chicago Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago, IL 60646. There will be a mass to celebrate Thelma and Fe’s lives at Queen of All Saints Basicila (6280 N. Sauganash Avenue Chicago, IL 60646) at 10am on Tuesday, April 25th followed by a burial at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
