Tess's obituary

Tess M. Thomasee, age 64 passed away peacefully October 11, 2019 due to complications from ovarian cancer. She was born October 27, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Lottie Engle & LB Oliver, her sisters Mary Nalley and Sue Oliver and her brothers Roger Engle and Jimmy Holwager.

Tess was a dedicated mother and is survived by her five children Del (Yolinda) McLin of Ormond Beach FL, Joseph (Angelica) Hebert of Georgetown KY, Dottie (Aaron) Back of Georgetown KY, December Hebert (Ray Bridges) of Westwego LA, Jame' (Nick) Jirovec of Twenty Nine Palms CA. She treasured her role as "Mawmaw" to her 19 grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. She was known as Aunt Tess to her many nephews and nieces.

Tess loved to care for people, pets and plants. She shared her love of baking with her children and grandchildren. Her life was a living example of John 15:12 “This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.”

Tess spent most of her life living in Kentucky, Louisiana, and Texas. She loved traveling, watching Harry Potter movies, collecting Star Wars memorabilia, and having Hallmark movie marathons. Tess was a member of Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support group for the last 5 years, where she made many lasting friendships.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at UK Markey Cancer Center for the excellent, tender care they've provided over the last 5 years.

Please join us celebrating her life Sunday October 27th 2019, between 1:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home located at 641 South Broadway Georgetown Ky 40324.
