Terrie's obituary
Terrie Lynn (Haseltine) Krise, born in Chicago, Illinois on March 8th of 1948, went home to her sweet Jesus at 5:20am on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Clarksville, Indiana. She went so peacefully in her sleep in her room with her Jazmen Olivia next to her, holding her hand the whole night. A huge thank you to St. Croix Hospice for caring for her for the last two years and keeping her comfortable in her last two days- especially her Toni, Brandy, Jennifer, and TC.
She was a caring, feisty woman from the south side of Chicago, who loved Jesus and served Him every chance she got. She helped build a Love Center in Warsaw, Indiana, way back in the 80’s- a free sanctuary for people in need for supplies and Jesus’ love. She went on a couple of mission trips in other countries. She took in people for a while when they needed to get back on their feet. She volunteered at a domestic abuse shelter for many years and loved helping everyone there. She lovingly sacrificed her golden years to adopt & raise her granddaughter as her daughter. The list goes on, but to put it all simply… she loved people like Jesus does.
Terrie Lynn was a wonderful wife, who has finally joined her dearly missed husband, Larry Lew, just in time for their 50th anniversary coming up in October 2024. Terrie also was an incredible mother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. There are so many who will miss her.
She leaves behind her sister: Bea “Bunnie” Hager, her sister in laws: Danya Haseltine, Sally Bowyer, and Patricia (John) Irwin, her cousins: Peppy Parr and Lillian “Lil” Potter, her nephews: Scott, Ron, and Jason Haseltine, her children: Thomas (Christy) Egan, Tami Egan, Michael (Jessica) Krise, and Jazmen “Jazzi” Krise, her grandchildren: Devon Hopper and Quentin Egan, her great grandchild: Kalynn “Kaly” Robarge, and her lifelong friends: Carol (Busking) Healy, Diane “Di” (Bosch) Carey, Lucy “LuLu” Szeja, and Sue (Gardner) Provenzano, and many others.
She comes home to her beloved: Larry Lew Krise, her parents: Herbert and Virginia Haseltine, her parents in law: David and Leora Krise, her brother: Robert “Bob” Haseltine, her brothers in law: Joseph “Joe” Bowyer and Donald “Doc” Hager, her cousin in law: Charles “Chuck” Potter, her nephew: Todd Haseltine, and her great grandchild: Payton Robarge.
Terrie did not want any funeral or memorial arrangements for it’s not a goodbye, but a “see you later”, and she graciously donated her body to the University of Louisville to help further medical research. However, she did say for those who still want to do something to remember her in a way, she encourages them to simply get together and talk, laugh, and swap stories about the Terrie they know and love.
