On October 12th my mom went to the ER with pain in her chest. They discovered a large amount of fluid on her heart that wasn't allowing her heart to beat properly. They life flighted her to Danville where she went into emergency surgery to have a chest tube put in. She spent the the next week and a half in ICU in danville and that's when we found out she had stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her bones and brain. She wasn't ready to give up and decided to go through aggressive radiation and chemotherapy. She went through weeks of radiation and then started chemo but developed blood clots in her lungs. She spent the last few weeks of her life in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She passed away in the early hours of December 2nd surrounded by her children and her husband. Donations will be used to pay for her cremation and any outstanding medical bills as her family was not prepared to lose her this soon. Contribute
