Terry's obituary
Terrance J. “Terry” Swartz II, 53, of Westminster, Colorado, formerly of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 3, 2025 of natural causes in Aurora, Colorado. Terry was born in Camp Hill, PA on November 6, 1971, the son of late Mary K. “Kathy” Anthony of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Terrance J. Swartz Sr. of New Cumberland, PA. Terry graduated from Newport High School.
He was deeply loved by many. His humor, laughter, and strength touched countless lives, and his absence will be felt profoundly. Terry was truly one of a kind, known for his quick wit and his playful yet passionate spirit, he brought laughter and held a deep connection to those around him.
A dedicated craftsman and contractor, Terry worked hard his entire life, perfecting his skill and remaining committed to his work until his very last day, even under strenuous conditions. Some projects include: Flagship Cinemas in Palmyra, PA and Stoney’s Bar & Grill in Denver, CO. He loved fishing in the Florida Keys, spending time in the Colorado mountains and above all, talking with friends & family.
Terry is survived by his four children, whom he loved with all his heart—Allisyn C. Swartz, wife of Xavier O. Larsen, of Denver, CO, Matthew J. Swartz, of Shiremanstown, PA, Emily R. Swartz, of Mechanicsburg, PA and Evie D. Swartz, of Gilbert, PA (daughter of Freedom R. Trinetto, of Gilbert, PA); his former wife Stephany E. Swartz, of New Cumberland, PA and by his sisters, Nicole R., wife of Dr. Erik Hernandez, and Angela Dunn of Harrisburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews, Jared M. Bartlebaugh, Arissa K. Ward, Jade E. Neely, Nicholas K. Ward and several great nieces and nephews.
He exemplified resilience, grit, and love that was unmatched. Many credit him for the unbreakable bonds and unconditional love that have shaped their lives. May his memory remind those to live hard, eat well and love like there’s no tomorrow.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at American Legion Post 143 - W.H.Nauss, 214 Market Street, New Cumberland, PA.
