Dr. Teresa Ernestine Scotton Williams was born on January 7, 1946 to the late Reverend Harry Franklin Scotton and Lina Bernice Rivers Scotton in Philadelphia, PA. After the family moved back to High Point, NC, Teresa matriculated in the High Point Public Schools. She was a stellar student throughout elementary and high school, attending Fairview Elementary School and William Penn High School.
