Teresa's obituary
Sometimes obstinate but always selfless, Teresa was a fantastic beacon of joy and strength to those who knew her. She firmly believed in the principle of 'what comes around goes around,' often demonstrating this in her actions. Her legacy is one of sublime kindness; it was not uncommon for her to offer her last $20 to a person experiencing homelessness. Her tolerance and generosity were boundless.
Teresa was a woman of many talents. Declaring her grandchildren as her greatest accomplishment, she often attributed her multiple skills to her love for them. With a mind as beautiful and vivid as a bright tapestry, she could create anything she pictured. An artist, sculptor, painter, and builder, Teresa was a bona fide patron of the arts. Her skills in the kitchen, taught by her Cajun French grandmother, led her to become an award-winning cook. Her persuasive charm and vivacious spirit made her the world's best salesperson.
She is survived by her darling daughters, Sarah Donnelle (Dunham) Lawhead and Joanna Ruth (Fuehner) Owens. Teresa's memory will remain fondly in the minds of her grandchildren, Sage, Gabrielle, and Ana. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers, Ted Subbie and John Subbie, her sons-in-law, Kenneth Kickham, and Nathan Owens, as well as the nurses and staff at her nursing home. Indeed, Teresa's absence will be felt by anyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
May the memory of Teresa Wells, a woman of indomitable spirit and immeasurable kindness, continue to inspire us all. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on through the lives she touched and the hearts she filled with love.
