Teresa's obituary
Teresa M. Polanowski (Vogel), 67, of Hamburg, NY, passed away on September 18, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on November 15, 1956, Teresa brought joy and creativity to all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Polanowski and a devoted stepmother to Andrea Tobin (Polanowski) and Craig Polanowski.
Teresa’s heart was especially full for her step-grandchildren—Damian, Audrina, and Caden. She delighted in spending time with them, never missing a chance to share fun costumes with Audrina or pass down her love for baking. She was an exceptional step-grandmother, always thoughtful, caring, and present in their lives.
A true free spirit, Teresa filled her life with creativity and passion. Whether crafting, gardening, teaching yoga, or drumming, she was always busy sharing her talents with those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering energy touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Throughout her long and brave battle with breast cancer, Teresa remained strong and determined. She wanted her legacy to be one of spreading love and light, encouraging others not to mourn her passing but to celebrate her life.
Teresa will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In honor of Teresa’s wishes, her family asks that instead of mourning, those who loved her continue to spread joy, creativity, and love, just as she did throughout her life
