Teresa (Terry) Paz, age 74, of Ithaca NY, took her last breath in the early morning of March 22, 2026.

Born in NY to Joseph and Maria Paz, she spent her youth in Queens and moved upstate in the 70’s. She retired from Cornell University where she worked at the Statler Hotel.

Teresa was a beloved sister and aunt. Though she had no children of her own, she was a Mother to her eldest Niece Karena and enjoyed her many other nieces and nephews. She had a passion for walking and word games, particularly crossword puzzles. Her inquisitive mind led her frequently  to the local library, where she liked to research numerous topics and historical figures. She was a force of nature who spoke her mind. Though she would never admit it, she was very caring and compassionate.

She is survived by her Brother, John Paz, many nieces/nephews, and was preceded in death by her parents and 2 Brothers, Joe and Frank.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, she would have preferred donations to the Tompkins County SPCA or rescue of choice.
