Teresa's obituary
Teresa Hamilton left this world October 16 2025.
Theater patron, literature lover, opera aficionado, jet-setter, fashion maven, retail enthusiast, dauntless dreamer, perpetual badass — she lived a vibrant life and always on her terms, choosing to err on the side of excess, as her much-appreciated half-pound BLTs did attest.
She leaves behind a daughter, two brothers, several generous friends and multitudes of admirers who had the good fortune and even better humor to be privy to her blissfully salacious counsel, salty perspectives, enthusiastic support and endlessly enchanting tales — delivered at rapid fire with her characteristic accent (aka her "charisma").
Teresa was fire. Proud, profane, pragmatic, dynamic — she didn't just light up a room, she drew everyone into her orbit, infusing them with her indomitable spirit and making every moment all the brighter for it.
In a world of beige she blazed technicolor... and though her flame was extinguished in this world, it definitely now burns bright in another. As anyone who knew her knows, she simply would not allow it to be otherwise.
Per her wishes and sating a wanderlust she was unable to address in later years, Teresa was cremated and her ashes destined for the sea. Preferring to eschew pomp and reserve grandeur for the afterlife, there will be no formal event marking her passing, but she would encourage anyone wishing to celebrate her life to likewise err on the side of excess in her honor.
