T.R.'s obituary

Son of James Thomas Lynch and Florence Edith (Groth) Lynch
Born in Berwyn, Illinois; died in Houston, Texas 

In 1959, he moved with his family from Brookfield, Illinois to Bountiful, Utah
Graduated from Bountiful High School in 1962; later from the University of Utah
Graduated from University of Colorado with a M.A. Degree in Library Science 

Was a member of DeMolay, a Masonic youth group
Worked in the Peace Corps for two years, in South America
During the Vietnam War era, he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard, earned his
Green Beret with the Special Forces, and received an Honorable Discharge

Director of Libraries in Louisiana
Director in Houston’s Library system 

TR left this life on January 9, 2022. He battled Parkinson’s disease for over 10 years. 

 T.R. is survived his brother, James (Tom) T Lynch, Jr.; By three children: Marylynn Lynch-Gomez, Meredith Lynch Hadziabulic,
and Terence Lynch, Jr.; and three grandchildren: Grant, Rieylynn, and Emma.
