Tena's obituary

Tena Marie Cromwell Passed away on Jan 22, 2022 at  approx. 2:30am from critical lung damage caused by covid 19.  She had been in a medically induced coma, and I am told she did not suffer long.

Tena is survived by her Husband Timothy W Cromwell and Son Chad T Ross.

Tena's sojourn through this life was never easy, even before birth she had to fight for survival as there was an attempt to end the pregnancy with a coat hanger, the procedure was thought to have been successful based on evidence afterwards. Tena believed it was her twin that was killed, twins were abundant on all sides of the family and by reckoning this pregnancy should have resulted in twins.

But Tena fought on, she was born Tena Marie Ross on Feb 19, 1965 into a marriage of hatred, her mother gave birth with a broken tail bone from being slammed up against the wall by her drunken husband.  A rocky first marriage, the tramatic conditions surrounding the birth of her son, the dificult first years of her second marriage, it seemed like she was "made to suffer". She used to say there was a time when she was conviced she was God's joke and he watched her struggles for entertainment. Fast forward to 2006 when she was in a car accident that nearly took her life, after life saving surgery she awoke and asked "did I die?"  She told about ascending a brilliantly white staircase then being stopped by God who told her it wasn't time yet she had to go back. No matter how much she begged and pleaded God told her "not yet" so she said "Yes Lord" and woke up in excruciating pain in the ICU.  She fought her way back to health and eventually full use of her body, going on to build a cabin in the wilderness of colorado rocky mountains of her design with her husband Tim.  Her relationship with Yehovah strenthened too every morning devotionals were read scripture was studied before anything else was started.  A group of strong godly people were brought into their lives to pray with them, encourage, counsel in Godly wisdom, and be role models, Tena grew in faith and love.

In 2018 it became plain that The Lord was calling Tena and Tim back to california, not sure what they would face they packed up what would fit in the back of their jeep and set out leaving everything they struggled to build; the relationships that had grown and flourished, and the peaceful mountain lifestyle behind not knowing if return was in Gods plan.  All Tena new was that her mother was having very serious surgery and God wanted her there to care for her.

She cared for her husband, son and aging mother in the remaining years, and blessed many she had met with her friendship and insight.

Then the "Not Yet" apparently changed to "Come home daughter".

And she is greatly missed by all that ever knew her, many hearts are saddened.

However, those who really knew her know that she is now in the presence of God, in a new and perfect body, experiencing joy unimaginable with loved ones and friends that had gone before, perhaps even her twin, walking with her Savior in a garden of unimaginable beauty.
