Ted's obituary
Ted was born and raised in San Francisco, California. As a young boy Ted and his brother Frank would sell newspapers on the street corner to help his parents Frank Sr and Wanda. When he was 14 his family moved to Sunnyvale, California where Ted attended Sunnyvale High school and then went on to attended De Anza jr college. Once college was complete, Ted decided to serve his country by joining the Army! In Teds words it was the most important and rewarding honor. When Ted returned from the service he put himself back in school UC Berkeley studying zoology during the day and working to pay for it at night hauling steel for the Ted Toland company in Oakland, California. After finishing school Ted bought a home in Sunnyvale and continued working for Toland as a steel estimator. In 1979 he met and married the love of his life Vikki, bringing into the marriage her 4 year old son Reef Mowers whom Ted raised as his own and with much love. In 1981 Ted and Vikki had another son Richard (Brenden) Lozano and their family was complete. Ted and Vikki bought and built many homes over the years residing in California, Florida, and Connecticut where Ted became the VP of Turner Development. Ted loved painting, music, art, his church, and many friends. Family was the most precious and important thing for Ted. Ted and Vikki loved to travel together and did this on many occasions over the years. During the last years Ted had been living in San Diego, California with Vikki where he took on a new challenge to go and work for FEMA. He found this job very rewarding and fun until his Parkinsons prevented him from traveling. Up until his last days Ted continued to talk about wanting to go back to work. His dedication and determination and amazing soul was admirable to many.
