Tanya Hinton-Dorsey was born Jan 30 1973 to Elder Walter Hinton and the late Missionary Jennifer Hinton. Tanya was raised in the church of God in Christ under Elder A R Magee at Magee Temple COGIC and later came up under her father's wings at Spirit of Deliverance COGIC until she moved to St. Louis Missouri. Tanya Graduated from Hattiesburg High in 1991 and pursued her education further at Jacksonville State University in Alabama where she graduated in 1997 with her bachelor degree in design. Those who knew Tanya, knew her sewing and designing skills were the best. Unfortunately her health failed her where she couldn't pursue her dreams, but she did enough to where her work was known. During this time of schooling she met her long time love, her husband James Dorsey who made her life the best one she could have. Along with that life came two handsome twin boys Jamal and Jamel Dorsey. Tanya was known by many and loved by plenty. Tanya is preceded in death by Her mother Missionary Jennifer Hinton her maternal grandfather and grandmother Willie and Jennie Roberts, her grandmother and grandfather Gearline and George Hinton Sr., three aunts Patricia (Jr) Lee, Johnnie Goudy and Dorothy Bradley, and one uncle George (Mae) Hinton.She leaves to cherish her memories, Her husband James Dorsey. Her two sons Jamal Dorsey And Jamel Dorsey, Her father Elder Walter (Helen) Hinton, two sisters Gearline "Tricy" Hinton, Kadandra (L V ) Williams one brother Rodrick Hinton, 4 aunts Willie Leach, Gloria ( George) Perry, Vera (Anthony) Drake, Theresa (Mitchell) Jones one uncle Robert Hinton (Viola Walker). A host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Tanya R. Hinton-Dorsey was ready for her wings, but our hearts weren't. Gone but never forgotten.
