Tannis Ann's obituary

Tannis Ann Bingham Kearns, 44 years of agepassed away on February 25th, 2022, in Roswell, New Mexico.

Tannis was born on December 21st, 1977, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the fourth child of Boyce James Bingham (Juneau Alaska) and Patricia Louise Forbes Bingham (Layton, Utah). Her father, Boyce, was stationed at Fort Carson in the U.S. Army at the time she was born.

Her siblings are: Boyce Jay Bingham (deceased), Iris Brandon Bingham (Alton Illinois), Dannielle E. Bingham Johnsen (Sandy Utah), Seth B. Bingham (Juneau Alaska), Samuel L. Bingham (deceased), Benjamin H. Bingham (Layton, Utah) and Joseph M. Bingham (Juneau Alaska).

In her youth, Tannis was blessed to be able to live in and experience lots of different places as her father was stationed with the army. Her favorite place was Panama, Central America, where she lived twice.

Tannis married John J. Rady, in Anchorage Alaska in 1995. They moved to San Antonio Texas, but divorced  four years later.

She joined her family, in Juneau Alaska where she met  J. Isaac Kearns.  In 2001, the couple traveled to Bountiful, Utah, where they were married.  They came Juneau  and made their home, where both sets of their parents were also residing at the time.

Tannis and Isaac were blessed with four children Tucker Isaac B. Kearns, Benjamin Caleb Kearns, Sarah Lauralin Kearns, and Samuel David Kearns.

Tannis was beautiful, intelligent, and creative. She loved her children, her husband, and both sides of their families. She worked hard to be the best that she knew how.  She was thrifty, prudent and resourceful, making their home beautiful, comfortable and inviting.

She loved the people in Juneau and had many wonderful friends. But the climate was too cold and wet for her; she longed for a place that was warm and a little dryer.

However, one thing that she did enjoy; one of her passions, was the ocean and its creatures. She often took her children to Juneau's beaches and taught them all about the things she loved.

                                                                                        .        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~     .

When mental illness strikes, it tears loved ones a part. It can fracture a family, ruin the integrity of a marriage, cause children to be traumatized and cause the one who is ill, to lose herself.

A mind that has been so faithfully moral can suddenly lose its bearings. The tongue can become a weapon that lashes a loved one and chases them away. Lack of understanding, which often does not come until much later--also chases loved ones away. The one who is ill finds herself alone and in a much different world than she ever intended. When hopelessness sets in...there often seems only one way out.

Tannis is buried along with her brothers in the Clearfield City Cemetery, in Clearfield, Utah.
