With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tanessa Dawn Oliver, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on January 13, 2026. She was deeply loved by many and will be forever missed.

Tanessa was a kind and empathetic soul who believed everyone deserved compassion and second chances. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Her generosity, humor, and resilience touched the lives of all who knew her.

Though she faced more hardships than anyone should have to bear, she remained strong and continued to give of herself with grace and love. People were naturally drawn to her warmth, and her presence brought comfort to those around her.

She is survived by her son Austin Oliver; her mother, Sandra McKenzie; her sisters, Sheila Barton and Stacey Garibay (Willie); her loving friend, Jason Wolf; and her nephews, and a niece who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude for the time they shared. She was preceded in death by her father, William C. Oliver; her brother, Gregory Kennedy; and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Tanessa’s memory through a donation to Evelyn’s House, a kind act, or simply by holding your loved ones close.

Her love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
