Tammy's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Olszewski on January 22, 2025. Born on December 28, 1973, Tammy illuminated the lives of those around her for 51 remarkable years.
Tammy is survived by her loving daughter and son, Melinda and Jeffery Olszewski . She was predeceased by her mother, Susan Cousineau, and her step-father, Gene DuPerry. As a family, they fostered the values of love, compassion, and kindness in Tammy, which she embodied throughout her life.
A proud alumni of Bulkeley High School, Class of 1992, Tammy went on to exult in the joys of motherhood in 1996. The bond she shared with her daughter Melinda was deep, loving, and encompassed the very essence of their lives. Then just 5 short years, in 2001, they welcomed Jeffery into their lives
Tammy was a avid reader, particularly fond of the works by Stephen King. She was a zealous supporter of the Patriots and the Cowboys, and found joy in playing Candy Crush. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she could relax, rejuvenate and find peace.
Tammy was a passionate supporter of the ASPCA, reflecting her kind and compassionate nature. Her personality, resplendent with a wit and humor that could light up any room, will be remembered by all who knew her. Tammy loved the color purple, a color as vibrant and unique as her spirit.
Among the many valuable lessons Tammy imparted, one of the most enduring will be to make a wish at 11:11 and to express love to our loved ones every single day. In her memory, we continue to uphold these lessons, nurturing their essence in our daily lives.
