She later moved to Bradenton Florida where she worked for the US Postal Service (Ruskin Sun City Center) for over 20 years. Tammy was known for her strong will and unwavering love for her family.

She is survived by her husband Ryan Engen, her daughter Kayla Grace Redmon, 2 grandchildren Kacen Redmon and Liam Snyder, her father Michael Smeltzer Sr (Andrea Smeltzer), her mother Rebecca Conaway, her brother Michael Smeltzer Jr (Kim Smeltzer), her sister Lisa Dunstan (Rick Dunstan), one nephew Tanner Smeltzer and one niece Amanda Overholt.
