Tamika's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tamika Wright, who left this world on June 20, 2023. Born on January 17, 1984, Tamika lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and boundless passion for the things that truly mattered to her.
Tamika is survived by her three beloved children: Robert Kristopher Wright, Angel McKenzie, and Elijah McKenzie, who were her proudest achievements and greatest joys. She is now joining her eldest son Quamire Wright. As a mother, she instilled in them the values of honesty, loyalty, and striving to be better versions of themselves.
Family and friends will forever remember Tamika's love for wings and seafood, sipping margaritas, and enjoying soulful R&B music. An avid fan of the Golden Girls and the movie Woman King, she also appreciated the expressive art form and had a deep-rooted passion for supporting her favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Among her favorite pastimes were playing Uno, shopping, spending quality time with family, and exploring the city. Tamika's idea of a perfect vacation was relaxing on a serene beach, basking in the sun. Despite her dislike for exercise, she lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.
Tamika was known for her vibrant personality, described by those who knew her best as passionate, honest, loyal, and just a little bit crazy. Her caring nature and involvement in her loved ones' lives left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
One of the greatest lessons she had to share with the world was to always strive for improvement and to cherish the connections we make along the way. Tamika's ultimate legacy is one of love and adventure, her spirit a beautiful blend of old and new, always happy for others and never shy about voicing her opinions.
Tamika Wright's memory will live on through her children, her family, and the many people she touched throughout her life. She will be dearly missed, but her teachings and the love she shared will continue to guide those who carry her memory in their hearts.
