Tameka's obituary
She was born to Rachel and Brian Reeds in 1968 on the little island of Guyana. Tameka was the middle child out of three children. Her older brother Robert Reeds taught Tameka how to fish and climb trees, while her younger sister Angie Reeds would be a best friend to her throughout her life.
In 1990 Tameka moved to Brooklyn, New York where she met her loving husband Johnathan King. They would grow to raise two children together; Deanna King 28 and Isaiah King 22.
Tameka was a vibrant spirit who loved life. While she did have her battles, she made sure her battles were never seen by her friends or colleagues. She loved art and music and nature and would take every chance she could to just sit outside and enjoy the sun.
The family will host a zoom memorial to celebrate the life and legacy of Tameka. Due to COVID-19, the formal burial and wake will be open to immediate family and close friends only.
