Tamecka's obituary
Tamecka Thweatt was born on July 5th 1979 to Carlotta Blackwell and Eugene Thweatt. She was born and raised in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended University City High School. Although she left school, to pursue other endeavors, she returned to obtain her GED through the board of education in Philadelphia, PA.
Throughout her life, she wore many hats, working jobs across different fields with determination and pride. Her passion for caregiving is what truly defined her. As a caretaker, she gave her time, energy, and love to others, always putting their needs before her own. Taking care of people wasn’t just what she did, it was who she was. No matter where life took her, she showed up with a strong work ethic and an even stronger smile. Her commitment to providing for her children and herself was unmatched.
Outside of work, she found joy in dancing. Whether it was at a party, family gatherings, or just when her favorite song would come on. She loved doing the percolator and was known as the “Percolating Queen”. She had a way of moving through life with rhythm and grace, lifting the mood of every room she entered. Traveling was a passion of hers; she loved exploring new places, collecting memories, and always chasing a little adventure.
Her smile was constant, full of warmth, laughter, and light. Even in hard times she chose joy, kindness, and resilience. She was a God fearing woman who walked in faith , lived with grace, and trusted God through all seasons of her life. Her presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by those blessed enough to know her.
