Takeeta Michelle Barnes, 47, of Markham IL suddenly passed away December 22, 2022. Takeeta was born April 19, 1975 to Gail Barnes and Micheal Robinson in Chicago IL. After graduating Thronridge High School she started her family with her first love who proceeded her in death Yeshu Potts.

Takeeta known as “ Keeta” to her family and friends growing up was quite the prankster and enjoyed playing cards with aunts as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. Keeta was always the life and fire to the party leading others with her warm heart and blunt sense of humor. She was always the person to go to for advice because she was honest, caring, and selfless.

Takeeta later began to pursue an interest in Healthcare becoming a healthcare assistant providing services to a spectrum of people. Also, known as “ Ma” to her children , grandchildren and bonus children Keeta’s caring spirit and endless love touched several lives especially her family and friends. Family meant everything to her as she spent everyday loving , shopping , listening to music and having a good time with those she loved the most. Takeeta was always good for long conversations and joyful laughs when ever she talked to anyone.

Takeeta was proceeded by her mother Gail Barnes and grandmother Jerline Barnes. Takeeta leaves to cherish her six children Yeshu Jr, Yana, Donyae, Dacari, Taya, and Tayvion. Her four loving grandchildren Jayda , Donyae Jr, Zoe, and Dior. Her six brothers Antoine, Micheal Jr, Quandell, Lucky, Mikael and Preston as well as her father Micheal. Also, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
