It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tah’Quan "Carter" Mason, who left this world too soon on January 16, 2025, just over a month following his 15th birthday. Known affectionately as Carter to his friends, family, and all who knew him, his vibrant spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed.

Carter was born on December 15, 2009, a joyful and thoughtful soul who left an indelible mark on all those he encountered. Despite his young age, he demonstrated a maturity and wisdom beyond his years, instilled in him by his beloved parents. He was predeceased by his insightful Uncle, Tanner Wills, and his nurturing father, Clarie Willis, from whom Carter inherited his tenacious spirit and unwavering determination.

He is lovingly remembered and sorely missed by his devoted mother, Tamara Gibson. Their close bond was evident in their mutual respect and deep love for one another. Despite the pain of this immense loss, Tamara's strength is a testament to her son's memory.

He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Carley Vicky. Her love and steadfastness served as an enduring source of comfort and guidance for Carter throughout his short life. Though he is no longer with us in body, his enduring spirit lives on in the hearts of his mother and grandmother, as well as everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

In this time of sorrow, we remember not just the finality of Carter’s passing but also the joy, warmth, and boundless potential of his life. He may have been with us for a short time, but his influence will continue to be felt for generations. Rest in peace, Carter. You will forever be in our hearts.
