TC's obituary

Tahiria "TC" Stathis, departed this world on February 24, 2022. Although she left us all too soon, her joy for life and love for her family, friends and her associates will remain with those she touched. TC was a beacon of light and a taste of joy; her vibrant personality still fills the hearts of all those who loved her.

Born in Mankato, MN on May 30, 1975, TC was welcomed by her mom, Suzanne, and her big Irish family. Her vibrant spirit lives on in the hearts of her parents, Suzanne Curran and Donald Duenow, who brought up a strong-willed and loving person. The bond she shared with her mother and father was truly special, and they will continue to cherish her memory.

In the early years TC was always engaged in extracurriculars with her peers. She played volleyball, basketball and soccer. She was on the swim team, played drums in band and took karate. TC graduated high school in Eagan, MN in 1993 and launched her plan for the future.

TC was always surrounded by family and friends. She was known for her audacious spirit, her razor-sharp wit, and her irresistible humor. She had this unique ability to bring laughter even in the most awkward of circumstances. All those traits and more captured a young man's eye while they worked together. Her car was brightly painted with daisies, her kind caring for others and the clients they served bonded the two to each other. For both, it was the first chapter of the beautiful love story they would write.

TC and Elliott Stathis were married on March 17,1995. Together they had three daughters, Savannah, Sage and Shelby. TC's life was a testament to her strength and determination. As a wife and mother of three, TC masterfully juggled all the demands with her typical humor and style reflected in the chaos. In 2000, the young newlyweds set out on a new adventure out East and made the move to Agawam, Massachusetts. This is where home became for the Stathis family.

In 2009, she embarked on a career journey with Checkwriters, there she was able to apply her skills in a new and dynamic work environment. Her presence was impactful, creating meaningful moments for everyone she encountered. She leaves behind her a legacy of laughter and smiles, and a life lived with ardor and passion.

TC and Elliott's first grandchild was born August 20, 2023, Emmett Marshall Cavanaugh. She is survived by her husband, Elliott Stathis, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. She was a mother totally devoted to her daughters: Savannah, Sage, and Shelby. Daughters that treasure their mother's love and luminous spirit. Her vibrant spirit lives on in the hearts of her parents, Suzanne Curran, and Donald Duenow, who brought up a smart, principled, and loving person.

TC was a force of nature, a woman who lived life on her own terms. Her legacy is a reminder to us all that life should be savored, filled with laughter, and lived boldly and passionately. She is deeply missed every day.
