Background
Tabitha was one of the hardest-working people we have ever known. She carried herself with strength, humility, and quiet perseverance, even while facing more than most ever knew. She had a way of showing up for others without asking for recognition, and she gave her heart fully, to her family, her work, and everyone lucky enough to cross her path.
Raised in Methuen, Ma, Tabitha, was able to meet the love of her life, Josh Jordan. Together, they built a life rooted in partnership, dedication, and shared the same passions. For 29 years, Tab and Josh stood side by side raising their family, building their business, and supporting one another through every chapter of life.
Their love of the restaurant industry brought so much joy to others. As owners and operators of Crave in Amesbury and later the Mill Pond Tavern in Salem, New Hampshire, Tabitha and Josh created more than a restaurant. Mill Pond was a place where people felt welcome, cared for, and full in every sense of the word. It was truly a family effort, with Tabitha’s sister Tracy and Tab’s children, Samantha and Seth all working together, they even had help from extended family They made their employees family too. They took pride in making people smile, sharing meals, and building connections that lasted far beyond the walls of the tavern.
Tabitha was first and foremost a devoted mother. She was incredibly proud of her children! Samantha, her oldest, and Seth, her son, with whom she shared a special bond. Her children loved working alongside their mom and learning from her example of strength, work ethic, and kindness. Her family was her greatest joy, and everything she did was for them.
A true family person, Tabitha cherished time spent with her parents, Arthur and Chun Hui; her sister Tracy; her nephews Jayden, Santino, Matteo, and Antonio, who will miss their aunt dearly; and her extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmother, and in-laws. She was a loving big sister, a devoted aunt, and someone who made each family member feel seen in her own quiet way.
Tabitha’s warmth extended far beyond her family. She recently worked at the Salem Auto Auction, where she quickly became a valued and beloved part of the community. Whether through her work in restaurants or the friendships she built with coworkers over the years, Tabitha left a lasting impression everywhere she went. She was a light to all, steady, kind, and genuine.
Despite every obstacle life placed in her path, Tabitha persevered. She faced challenges with grace, gratitude, and humility, often hiding her pain so others wouldn’t worry. She lived fiercely, worked tirelessly, and loved deeply. In her 46 years, she touched more lives than she likely ever realized.
Tabitha leaves behind her husband Joshua, her children Samantha, her partner, and their two children, and her son Seth, whom she adored; her parents; her sister and her partner; her brother and sister-in-law; her nephews and niece; her grandmother; her mother-in-laws Jan and Joyce, who had a profound impact on her life; her beloved dogs, Ember and Otto; and countless friends and extended family members who will carry her memory forward.
Her absence is immense, and her loss will be felt far and wide. We love you so much, Tabitha, and you will be missed forever. Contribute
