Sylvia Trautman passed away on Dec. 20, 2019 at Hebrew Home of Greater Washington after a short illness related to an infection. She was 92. She was born Sylvia Irene Shapiro on Mar. 13, 1927 in New York City, NY to a tailor and a housekeeper who immigrated to America in the early 1900s from Eastern Europe.
