Sylvia's obituary

Our beautiful Sylvia Aparicio passed away on December 20th 2024. Sylvia was born in Los Angeles, California on March 29th 1942. She was the daughter of Frank and Isabel Vargas, she was the sister of Ray Vargas and loving wife of Henry Aparicio.
Sylvia was loved by everyone who knew her and even though most people knew her to be "the grandma" she was so much more than that. She was a daughter, a sister, wife, friend, mother to Ricky and Christina Aparicio and grandmother to Tyler, Alexandria, Angelina and Leila Aparicio.
Slyvia was a strong, independent woman who battled with Alzheimer's dementia for the last few years of life but that had never stopped her to be a loving and devoting wife and mother to her two children and grandchildren. She never had anything negative to say about anyone, she always gave everyone the second chance that they deserved. She had a welcoming smile, she would give warm hugs and could make anyone feel apart of the family. She was the kind of person that you could talk to for hours for laughs, to share memories or even to be comforted.
Sylvia loved every walk of life, she had the biggest heart for animals and would often watch the pet channel for ideas to make her pets feel more at home. She enjoyed watching the new years eve ball drop with her granddaughters and enjoyed watching the parades with her mother and daughter over some morning coffee.
Sylvia will be forever missed and eternally loved but she will never be forgotten as that was her worst fear but little did she know that she would be remembered in every day things. In the recipes she passed down, in the TV shows she used to watch, the music she would play especially for the holidays, the smell of her perfumes, the cat toys she's made, in every sudoku and crossword puzzle, and those really hard Thomas Kinkade puzzles.

We love you.

In loving memory of Sylvia Aparicio.
