I had the blessing of being a…

I had the blessing of being able to work with this girl for two years. When she first arrived, she came off as incredibly shy, tender footed and soft spoken. As she came out of her shell, we all as a staff got the special pleasure of getting to know just how wonderful she truly was. She was wise beyond her years, probably one of the smartest kids I’ve ever met. She showed herself to be endearingly passionate, hard-working, and driven, and the level of initiative she had for even the smallest things was actually inspiring. Beyond her work ethic, we got to know just how kind and caring she was, and we all loved her so, so dearly.  We called her our “sweet baby angel” Syd all the time, and it was always true. Nothing feels the same without her. She had intelligent conversations with us constantly, we knew of her dreams and goals and aspirations, and we were all ready at the drop of a hat to support her ten-fold. This loss is incomparable, and I’m sure we will be thinking about her sweet soul forever. I know I will be. Love you Syd, you’ve left a mark on all of us.

To Sydney’s family; we loved her so dearly, and we grieve her loss. I cannot begin to imagine the hurt you feel with this. My thoughts and love are with you during this time, and I wish for the strength to carry your heavy hearts in such a bereft happenstance. We are all here for you, and if you need anything, please reach out.

Gone way too soon, life isn’t fair and definitely doesn’t make sense. Sydney, you brought warmth and laughter into our lives, that infectious smile of yours could light up a room every time you entered it. Sydney you had a kind heart, and gentle soul which touched the lives of everyone you met. The hardest part about losing someone you love is not the goodbye it’s rather learning how to live without them. Sydney your presence in our lives was a gift and your memory will forever be cherished, though you may no longer be with us physically your spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. If LOVE could have kept you alive you would have lived forever.
