Sydney's obituary
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Sydney "Syd or Skittles" Anderson, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. Sydney, who graced this world with her presence on February 13, 2004, was tragically taken away from us on February 23, 2024.
Born to parents Shelly Tucker and the late Levi Anderson, Sydney was a sister to Anthony Colson, Nicholas Anderson, Lincoln Anderson, Joshua Anderson, and Katherine Anderson. She was also a cherished granddaughter to Mike and Kathy Colson and a loving niece to Susan Colson.
Sydney had an appetite for life and a love for simple pleasures. She delighted in the flavors of chicken, Gushers, and Capri Suns, and she found joy in sipping water and orange soda. She had a keen ear for music, especially enjoying the sounds of Little Peep and Tupac. Sydney loved to immerse herself in the gripping narrative of Law and Order SVU, and she had a profound appreciation for the art of rap.
Known for her witty, warm, funny, and light-hearted personality, Sydney was happiest when she was surrounded by friends, walking outdoors, or spending time at the beach. Local spots like Quesadilla Factory, any nail salon, and Sofora were some of her favorite places to relax. She was drawn to the color purple and made her mark with kindness and strength, always teaching others the importance of compassion and resilience.
Sydney was a testament to the indomitable human spirit and a beacon of determination. She faced and overcame numerous obstacles in her life, always emerging stronger and more resilient. Her life was a testament to her persistent fighting spirit and undying optimism.
Her untimely departure leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those who knew her. But Sydney’s legacy will eternally resonate in the hearts of those she left behind. She was a fighter, a true friend, and a lover of life. Her vibrant spirit was larger than life, a force that this world could not contain. Even though her wings were ready, we were not prepared to let her go.
Sydney's death is a tragic loss, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Let us find comfort in the joyful memories she left behind and the lessons she taught us about kindness, resilience, and enduring spirit.
