In Loving Memory of Suzie Anne Sugarman

February 9, 1962 – October 25, 2025

Suzie Anne Sugarman, 63, of Whitefish, Montana, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 9, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, to Donald Silvers and Joan Walske.

Suzie grew up in Southern California and attended Taft High School in Woodland Hills. From a young age, she worked alongside her father in his men’s clothing store, where her warmth, humor, and natural charm made her a favorite among customers. She had a true gift for connecting with people—she could talk to anyone and make them feel like family. Sales came naturally to her because she genuinely loved people, and people genuinely loved her.

Above all else, Suzie’s heart belonged to her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Milo, who was, by most accounts, her favorite. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved—cooking, laughing, and bringing everyone together. A talented cook and gracious hostess, she carried on her mother’s tradition of making every gathering feel special. Holidays, birthdays, or any excuse for a get-together—Suzie was always ready to open her home and her heart.

Her friends and family will remember her for her radiant smile, her unmistakable laugh, and her ability to listen with genuine care. One close friend shared, “I can still hear her laugh and her voice with that twinge of sarcasm. Suzie loved to talk about life, family, and the little joys and struggles along the way. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren completely—and she was loved just as deeply in return.”

Suzie lived with faith, humor, and grace. She often reminded those around her of one of her favorite sayings: “God is watching.”

She meant it with love—and occasionally with a wink—to help keep everyone in line. It was her gentle way of reminding family to do good, love deeply, and never take life for granted.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Walske; her devoted husband, Randy Sugarman; her children, Dylan Nathanson and Taylor Nathanson; and her cherished grandchildren, Wyatt and Harlow. She will be deeply missed by her family, her beloved Milo, and all who were blessed to know her.

A Vigil Service with the Rosary will be held Monday, November 3, at 4:00 PM at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 4, at 11:00 AM at St. Richard Catholic Church with a reception to follow. A graveside committal will be held at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery after the reception.

Suzie’s laughter, warmth, and love will live forever in our hearts.

May she rest in peace knowing that God is watching.
