Suzanne's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne Schulte. Born in 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Suzanne departed this life in her sleep on August 10, 2024 at home in Beverly Hills, California.

As a young woman in the travel industry Suzanne explored the world on her own, unheard of for a woman her age.  Suzanne visited Egypt and Iran drawn in by the deep cultural significance of the Middle East.  Her career in travel eventually brought her to California where she managed the travel division of Neiman-Marcus stores.   When the travel industry shrank, Suzanne moved into fashion working in Giorgio Armani at Neiman-Marcus, Beverly Hills and later at then Giorgio Armani store in Rodeo Drive.

In retirement, Suzanne enjoyed sleeping in, a well earned privilege after a lifetime of work.  She loved her cats, and supported animal rights and charitable organizations including the Lange Foundation.  She cared for animals so much she stopped eating meat becoming mostly vegetarian for the last years of her life.

Her nurturer spirit shined brightly in her favorite foods and drinks as well; she cherished the simple comfort of egg sandwiches and her favorite Vitamin Water.
