She was a devoted mother of Erich and Trevor, born when she was married to Sterling Smith. Suzanne was proud of her Boston area roots and her education at the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1976 with a business degree. She moved to Northern California in 1980, where she lived for the rest of her life.
