Suzan M. McLaughlin of Auburn, New York, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 64.

Sue was a lifelong resident of Auburn and came from a large family whom she loved very much. A gifted cook and gracious hostess, her love of food and entertaining translated into a fulfilling career. Sue took great joy in planning events that brought people together—whether for a good cause or just for fun. She had a bit of a mischievous streak, and Halloween held a special place in her heart- she shined while going overboard on decorations and dressing up every year.

Known for her sharp wit and unforgettable sense of humor, Sue had a remarkable way of connecting with people. She could make anyone laugh within minutes of meeting them. If you knew her chances are she told you one of the funniest and most outrageous stories you’ve ever heard. She also loved music and movies, relaxing at home, enjoying a hot cup of coffee and good conversation.

Sue is lovingly remembered by her mother, Catherine McLaughlin; her beloved brothers and sisters; her nine children; eight grandchildren; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She will be missed beyond words, but her warmth, humor, and love will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. We love you, Sue.
