Susie's obituary

Susie Grant, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished sister, passed away on April 27, 2023. Born on August 21, 1954, Susie touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Susie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Grant, with whom she shared countless beautiful memories during their time together. She was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Sheryl  Carter, son  Rufus AmersonJr. and son, Don Amerson. Her love and support have left an indelible mark on their hearts, which will continue to guide them through their own life journeys.

She leaves behind a close-knit family of siblings, including her brother Quitman Carter,  brother Larry Harris, her sisters Dorothy Thomas, Irene Amerson, and Emma Johnson, and her brother Arthur Harris. Together, they formed a strong bond that will persist in the hearts of those who remain. Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Farmer, and her sister, Annie Wilson,  sister, Carrie Morris, brother, Mose Carter, brother Joe CarterJr. who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into the eternal embrace.

Susie's sincerity, warmhearted nature, and infectious smile will be missed dearly by both her family and the community she so passionately served. As we mourn her passing and celebrate her life, let us honor her memory by continuing to embody the love, compassion, and selflessness she so tirelessly demonstrated throughout her life.

May Susie Grant rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought to everyone fortunate enough to have known her. And may her family find solace in the knowledge that her spirit and her memory live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
