Susan's obituary

Susan Edith Welch (Hoffman), also known as Oma, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023, at the age of 59 in Avondale, Arizona. She was born on May 28, 1964, in Kansas City, KS, to Patricia and James Hoffman.

Susan was a loving, kind, and proud individual who was deeply devoted to her family. She was known for her beautiful spirit and her family-oriented nature. Susan will be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and sister-in-law.

Susan is survived by her children, Royce Welch and Christina Nanney (Hoffman), her sister Shirley Bennett (Hoffman), her brothers Ted Hoffman, James Hoffman, and Lawerence Hoffman, her son-in-law Shawn Nanney, her sister-in-law Gloria Bennett, and her granddaughters Rylee Echols-Hoffman and Morgan Nanney. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Hoffman, and her father, James Hoffman.

In her professional life, Susan worked at Holland Nameplate from 1999 to 2003 and PMA Photometals from 2004 to 2008, where she made valuable contributions.

Outside of work, Susan had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, photography, crafting, cooking, baking, and spending quality time with her family. She also had a passion for traveling and exploring new places.

As per Susan's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, her remains will be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea. The Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona, is assisting with the arrangements.

Susan Edith Welch, also known as Oma, will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her.
