Susan Schulte
December 29, 1959 – May 13, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Susan Schulte on May 13, 2025. Born December 29, 1959, Susan will be remembered for her sharp wit, generous spirit, and unwavering independence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Severson; stepdaughters, Becca (Lance) Foster and Caitlin Severson; niece, Kelsey Schulte; and brothers, Ralph (Sharon), Greg (Poli Steeby), and Roger (Monica) Schulte. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Patricia Schulte, and her brother, Mike.
Susan graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1978 and earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico in 1984. Her career as a post financial auditor began alongside her brother Greg which spanned several decades while contributing to many large corporation’s financial success.
A lover of life’s simple pleasures, Susan enjoyed golf—playing in several Pro-Am tournaments—gardening, reading, traveling, music, and caring for her dogs. She had a flair for the unique, from roasting New Mexico green chile to enjoying Hitchcock films and mystery novels.
Susan lived in many places over the years, including New Mexico, Missouri, Washington, and Utah, always bringing with her a sense of style, humor, and independence.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Resurrection in Bothell, with a reception to follow at 5:00 PM in Edmonds. In lieu of flowers, please honor Susan in your own meaningful way.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and love. Though she is deeply missed, the memories she gave us will remain forever.
