Susan's obituary
Susan Lee, born March 27, 1951, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023. A mother, grandmother, and sister, Susan touched the lives of many with her strength, hard work, bravery, and loving and caring nature.
Susan is survived by Donald Lee, her daughters, Kimberly Toebben and Denise Winnie, her sons, Jason and Ray Lee. The matriarch of her family, Susan's love extended beyond her children and brother to her seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and her beloved Yorkie fur babies. She is predeceased by her mother, Betty Brown and father, James Nolen.
Known for her love of life and adventure, Susan frequently journeyed to Las Vegas where she found success at the Blackjack tables, participating in many tournaments. She also cherished vacationing with her family, with cruising being a particular favourite. However, undoubtedly her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, making memories with her grandchildren and pets.
A lover of all kinds of music, Susan had a soft spot for golden country tunes. Often found with a Diet Coke fountain soda in hand, she gleefully would lose herself in the rhythm and lyrics of her favorite songs.
Susan's greatest accomplishment was her family, whom she adored greatly. She dedicated her life to nurturing, supporting, and loving them unconditionally. Her impact is evident in the love and unity within her family and they will carry her legacy forward.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Susan's life on October 5, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Erwin Church of God 109 W C St. Family, friends, and others whose lives Susan touched are invited to attend and share their memories of her.
