Oh how I miss this wonderful friend Suzy. She was always there for me no matter what. When she had a day off we would go to breakfast and have such a lovely time as Suzy would say. She used the word lovely alot, A precious lady is not with us but precious memories are. I will always be thankful for Suzy.

Suzy was one of our dear friends from church, and we always looked forward to seeing her.  Yes, her hugs were the best, making you forget about all your troubles and rest in the present, which was good when she was there with you.  She served all of us in her unique ways, and I especially loved to sing on the praise team with her.  Suzy sent us a gift after we moved to Texas, and it arrived just a few months before she passed.  She was so thoughtful, and that gift will always call Suzy's sweet spirit to mind.  We love her and miss her!
Suzy was a warm, loving sister in the Lord, always patient and kind. She loved to sing at church. She will be missed by all who knew her.

People with  close ties often give each other a nickname. It sometimes comes from a physical characteristic, an adaptation of their given name, or, in Suzy’s case, a shared experience.  Suzy came to chaperone my student trip  to France, in 2006. She was a fun and loving companion, and great with the kids on the trip. On one of those occasions when we were being silly, we realized that the word for coconut in Dutch, was KOKOSNOOT! This realization came from the list of ingredients on the  yogurt  we were eating. Of course we fell about laughing, and from that time on, we often called each other Kokosnoot.

Suzy never gossiped, always saw the good in others, was generous and ALWAYS kind  She loved to laugh, and actually that’s one of the things I miss most; just getting together and having a giggle. Above all, Suzy had a deep spiritual side, and a relentless love for the Lord. She encouraged me to be a better person.

Part of me still can’t quite come to terms with the idea that she’s gone.  I still expect to see a cheerful text message, an encouraging word, a good recipe.

But my comfort comes from knowing she’s safe. Greatly missed. But safe.

Dear Suzy, aka Squeeze.

You were a dear friend, and a long time friend. I won't say we knew, each other for close to 40 years. Instead I will say we know each other, and still do.

You ARE a kind and loving soul, only your address has changed and it's now heaven and not down here. We made many memories together especially when we were younger and full of energy, spirit and youthful exuberance. We shared many fun times, parties, get-togethers, and rock-n-roll performances. You are and were our number one and biggest fan, and I LOVE you. As we got older we may not have seen each other for stretches of time. But when we were in each others presence again we picked up right where we left off. I am so grateful that in the last couple years of your life we had our dinner get together group with you, Phil, Alisa and Joe among others. And we again got a chance to laugh, share and truly enjoy each other's company.

You made a difference in my life with your love, and your friendship. With your caring nature, and your beautiful smile. You had a positive energy about you, and you loved the Lord. I know there are many here who miss you and Love you, and I am one of them. Rest easy now in heaven. And know that I think of you often, and will love you forever.

Thank you for your love and friendship.

Jeffrey Stepek
Kelsey, Kayla, Steve, I am so sorry we lost our sweet Susan, but imagine the reunion with our family in heaven. I can hear the "Cribb chatter," smiles, laughter at Grandma's table. Sympathy and prayers for you all. Love my cousins.

I will forever cherish having Suzy in my life. She touched many lives.and was a beautiful and kind soul. Words cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for you girls, and for all whose lives she touched. May the love and memories you shared help you get through, and may you always feel her presence around you, watching over and loving you all from above.

My husband Michael and I went to church with Suzy for the past 7 years. She was very helpful with the audio visual team. We have been to her house several times. She was always kind and sweet and loved her family very much. She always talked about her daughters and grandson they meant so much to her.
I don’t think I’m alone in not quite being able to take in that Suzy is no longer with us. It’s going to be odd next time I’m in California, not to get her text to arrange a meet-up. Always positive, caring, sensitive to the needs of others, Suzy was deeply spiritual. You knew you could have a laugh with Suzy, as well as share your burdens.  After Sam’s birth,  I remember thinking, that little boy will always have his grandma as his No. 1 fan. She absolutely LOVED that little fellow. I will certainly miss Suzy.
