Susan Doelle Lyman went to be with her Lord unexpectedly at the young age of 58 on July 12, 2020, in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Susan was born on October 18, 1961, in Grand Rapids, MI to William Henry Doelle and Jeanne Marie Spence. She attended East Grand Rapids High School and continued her studies at Lansing Community College where she received her associate degree in Radiology.

Growing up Susan loved playing with her cousins, soaking up the sunlight on the beach at her home in Sault St. Marie, MI, and being a part of the East Grand Rapids High School Band. She was a strong, loving, and caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend who was a devoted Saints and LSU Tiger football fan. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, cooking, volunteering, and taking care of her loved ones. Her deeply adored grandbabies called her ‘Nana.” She will forever be remembered for her selfless acts of kindness, devotion to the Lord, her laugh, and her beautiful smile.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Lyman, stepson Foster Lyman, mother Jeanne Marie Spence, sons Steven Ronald and David William Tanis, daughter-in-law’s Jessica and Catherine Tanis, three grandchildren William York, Adelina Marie and James Frederick Tanis, cat Jynx, cousins, and friends. Susan is predeceased in death by her father William “Bill” Henry Doelle, Grandfather Thomas Benjamin Harriman, and Grandmother Alice Isabelle Harriman.
