That's where we met: In the Mother's Room of Tabernacle Church/Capp St. Church. At that time my daughters Lisa, Dallas, and Michelle were about 6, 4, and 3, maybe a little younger. But Rebecca and Michelle, I'm guessing, were about 5 and 3. So if that's correct, the year was probably 1984. We spent so much time together with our girls after church. I'd hang out at her place on Crescent St. or she'd come over to our place in the Sunset District. We did birthday parties together, did picnics at Stern Grove in the Summer - times were great! We partied hearty together! I guess when I moved to Portland, OR in 1986, our friendship kinda fell apart. People grow apart by distance and by family responsibilities. I was so sad I could not come to celebrate Susan but was there in spirit! Loved her so much and looking forward to seeing her in the new by and by.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Rebekah and Michelle. Your mother Susan was so very good-hearted, and a good friend. I will miss her too. I hope her next life is even more joyful than this one was!

My condolences to Susan's family. I first met Susan when I started teaching at Hawthorne Elementary, Oakland. She was my close friend for 30 years. My family and I are holding her daughters and grandchildren close in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to Susan's family. I first met Susan when we became roommates in high school and we would often be in trouble, not because we were bad kids but because it was a very strict school. Susan has been my dear friend for 54 years and will be sorely missed.
