Susan Martin, born October 27, 1971, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.

Susan was a quietly thoughtful person with a deeply creative spirit. A true jack of all trades, she expressed herself in many artistic ways and had a special ability to make life more meaningful for those around her. She proudly ran Middle Creek Campground, where she welcomed many with warmth, kindness, and her delicious homemade biscuits. She was especially known for her thoughtful gift-giving, always finding the perfect way to show someone they were loved and remembered. She found happiness in life’s simple joys, including her love of crab legs, her beloved dog Cricket, and time spent with the people she cared about most.

She leaves behind her loving mother, Alma Katherine Craft; her sons, Luke Martin, Matt Martin, and Jeff Martin; and her daughter, Katie Shelor and spouse Matt Shelor. She was a proud and beloved Meemaw to Cooper and Amelia Shelor. She also leaves behind many dear friends, including Michelle, Victoria, Susan, and Theresa, and especially Marcie, her hospice nurse and dear friend, whose compassion and presence helped guide Susan and her family through her passing with peace and comfort. She is also survived by extended family members and friends who will carry her memory with them always.

She was reunited in peace with her father, Lonnie Craft, who passed on December 2, 2025, as well as her beloved grandparents and other cherished family members who went before her.

Susan will be remembered for her creativity, her quiet thoughtfulness, and her love of Jesus. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace.
