Susan's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Howard, a loving and devoted mother and wife, who left us too early on December 4, 2024. She battled with dementia and Alzheimer's for many years and fought hard until the end. Born on November 20, 1962 in Fullerton, California, Susan had a spirit that was as captivating as her blue eyes, one that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Susan was also known lovingly as Susie or Susie Q. She had an outgoing personality that was contagious to everyone around her. Her sense of humor was always appreciated, and her silliness became some of the most cherished memories we have of her. Susan loved life to the fullest; whether it was being with her girls, shopping, playing tennis, or working out, she embraced every moment. She also cherished the simple pleasures of life such as sipping coffee, enjoying a glass (or two) of wine, or watching her favorite movie, Grease. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and some of her best moments were spent at the beach, her favorite vacation spot.
She was the beloved wife of Chris Howard, whom she married on December 4, 1987. Their marriage was blessed with four wonderful children, Kylie, Kamryn, Presley, and Christopher. Early in their lives, they learned from their mother's constant love and support, and of course, how to always have fun in every situation. These are lessons that they will carry on as her legacy. Susan was lucky enough to have three beautiful grand babies, Crew, Madox, and Landen. She was predeceased by her mother, Rita Lowry.
A Celebration of Susan's life will be held on December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by a reception at 12:30 PM at Red Rock Country Club.
Susan's light will continue to shine in our hearts, and her memory will always be with us. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
