Susan's obituary
Susan M. Goerg, age 62, of Little Canada, MN, passed away on March 20, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, David. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Sheena (Nick) Rogers and Sierra Goerg, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Jack and Sadie Rogers, whom she adored and cherished.
Susan is also survived by her five brothers, Dirk (Joanie), Mark (Alison), Kurt (Lynne), Rick (Nora), and Cris (Sheryl) Miller, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was the daughter of the late Jerrold and Mary Miller and is preceded by their death.
Susan's love of family kept her strong through many health struggles, and she fought through the unthinkable. Her resilience and determination were truly inspiring to all who knew her. Susan lived a life of love, and her warm personality and compassion allowed her to create a special connection with everyone she met.
Susan grew up in Eden Prairie, MN, and was proud to be the only sister amongst five brothers. After graduating from Eden Prairie High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Fairview Hospital before becoming a stay-at-home mom.
Susan loved her kitties, Paris and Stanley, and brought them on RV vacations and trips to the cabin. The cabin became her happy place, along with any warm, sunny location. With a passion for fashion and a love for shopping, Susan not only lived by her motto "you look good, you feel good," but she embodied it through all aspects of her life, and her fashionable appearance was well-known among those who knew her.
Susan was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and strength will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 31, at 11 a.m. (visitation from 10 - 11 a.m) at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Shoreview, MN. A reception will follow. All are welcome to attend. A private interment with family will take place at Lakewood Cemetery.
